Suyoo Tech (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Cleanvid website and services (the “Service”). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your personal data and uploaded content.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share your information when you use Cleanvid. This Policy is prepared in compliance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) of the Laws of Hong Kong(“PDPO”).

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

To provide our video subtitle removal services, we collect the following types of information:

1.1 Information You Provide

  • Account Information: When you register, we collect your email address, username, and encrypted password.
  • Transaction Information: If you purchase a paid plan, payments are processed by third-party payment processors (e.g., Stripe, PayPal). We do not store your credit card details or bank account information.
  • User Content: This refers to the video files you upload to our platform for processing. This is strictly necessary to provide the Service.

1.2 Information Automatically Collected

  • Technical Data: We collect information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, and access times. This data is used for analytics, service stability, and security purposes.
  • Cookies: We use cookies to maintain your login session and save your preferences.

2. Video Processing & Data Retention (Our Commitments)

We understand that your videos may contain sensitive information. We strictly adhere to the following rules regarding User Content:

2.1 Purpose of Processing

Your uploaded videos are used solely for the purpose of fulfilling your request (i.e., identifying and removing subtitles or watermarks).

2.2 No AI Training

We explicitly commit that we do not use your User Content to train, fine-tune, or improve our AI models. Your content belongs to you; we make no claim to the copyright of your videos.

2.3 Data Retention Policy

  • Automatic Deletion: To allow you time to download or modify your processed files, your original and processed videos are retained on our servers for 7 days.
  • Permanent Destruction: After 7 days, the files are automatically and permanently deleted from our servers and cannot be recovered.
  • Manual Deletion: You may manually delete your video files immediately after processing by using the “Delete” button in the user interface.

2.4 Access Control

Our employees do not view your User Content unless compelled by law or if you explicitly request technical support for a specific file. All processing is automated.

3. How We Use Your Personal Data

We use your non-video personal data (e.g., email, logs) to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
  • Process transactions and send invoices.
  • Send you administrative notifications (e.g., processing complete, password resets, security alerts).
  • Prevent fraud and ensure system security.

4. Disclosure of Information

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We may share information only in the following circumstances:

  • Service Providers: We engage trusted third-party companies to perform functions on our behalf, such as cloud hosting providers (to store videos temporarily) and email service providers. These parties are bound by strict confidentiality agreements.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by the laws of Hong Kong, a court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Suyoo Tech or others.
  • Business Transfers: If Suyoo Tech is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your personal data may be transferred. We will provide notice before your personal data is transferred and becomes subject to a different Privacy Policy.

5. Data Storage and International Transfers

Your information, including Personal Data and User Content, may be transferred to—and maintained on—computers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ.

However, regardless of where the data is processed, we implement industry-standard security measures (such as SSL/TLS encryption for transmission and encryption-at-rest) to protect your data.

Under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance of Hong Kong, you have the right to:

  • Require us to correct any data relating to you which is inaccurate.
  • Withdraw Consent/Delete Account: You may request to delete your account and all associated personal data at any time.

Our Service is not directed to persons under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page or via email. Changes are effective immediately upon posting.

9. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong to resolve any legal matter arising from this Policy.
